US embassy highlights women entrepreneurs in Ethiopia

US Embassy Charge d’Affaires Ambassador Vicki Huddleston hosted a ‘mini’ trade fair on November 18, for some of Ethiopia’s leading women entrepreneurs. The event showcased products such as textiles, leather, handicrafts and home furnishings.

The purpose of the event was to highlight the success of female-owned enterprises in Ethiopia today, and to promote the importance of entrepreneurship among women in the country.

Approximately 30 entrepreneurs took part in the fair, designed to bring together women leaders in business and professional life to seek common ground and search for solutions to common problems.
