Decrease in Q3 revenue at Perry Ellis

Casual apparel, activewear and swimwear designer Perry Ellis International, Inc. has reported a decline in revenue for the third quarter ended October 31. Revenues totalled $213.2 million, a 3.1% decline compared with the $220 million reported in the comparable period a year ago. Net earnings totalled $8.2 million compared with $8.1 million for the corresponding quarter last year.
Total revenues for the nine-month period ended October 31 were $598.3 million, compared with $635.5 million, a 5.9% decline versus the 2005 period.
