Rieter sells cabling, twisting and texturing machine activities

Swiss supplier of integrated textile equipment Rieter is selling its cabling, twisting and texturing machine business retroactively, effective October 31, to France-based Co-Martin.

The new owner has experience in the man-made fibre business and has taken over all of Rieter’s activities located in Valence, France. No financial details of the sale have been disclosed.

The Rieter subsidiary in Valence employs 153 staff and achieved turnover of approximately €50 million in 2005.
