Wenzhou textile and footwear exports rise

According to officials, the Chinese region of Wenzhou has posted a rise in the value of textile and footwear exports during the first ten months of 2006, in spite of the anti-dumping duties imposed by the EU.

The value of the region’s textile products grew by 24.3% to $981 million, compared with the same period of last year.  Footwear exports by 30.11% rose to $1.7 billion.
