Germany-based textile machinery manufacturing company Trützschler Group has acquired Fleissner GmbH, based in Egelsbach, Germany. 

A subsidiary of Zimmer AG, Fleissner made up part of Zimmer’s PET and Fibers Division. It generated sales of approximately €60 million in 2005 and employs approximately 350 staff.

"The acquisition of Fleissner represents another major step in the expansion of Trützschler's nonwoven operations," stated Dr Michael Schürenkrämer, managing partner of the Trützschler Group.
