DuPont highlights growing demand for safety and protection products

DuPont Group’s vice president, Mark Vergnano, has highlighted the rapidly growing global demand for products and services that protect people, property, operations and the environment. Speaking to investment analysts at the recent Citigroup Chemicals Conference in
New York, he said that the company is accelerating initiatives to meet the increased demand for protective apparel and products.

DuPont Safety & Protection has introduced more than 135 new products in the last year, including Protera flame-resistant fabric, and is marketing its brands globally, including in emerging markets.

The group’s Safety and Protection segment has reported average annual revenue growth of 13% over the past five years.
