West 49 reports improved results
Canadian outdoor apparel, footwear and accessories retailer West 49 Inc. has reported improved financial results for the third quarter ended October 28.
Net sales increased 49.2% to C$58.2 million ($50.8 million), from $39 million for the third quarter of last year. Approximately half of this growth was attributed to the acquisitions of Amnesia/Arsenic, D-Tox and the online business www.boardzone.com in November last year, with the remainder of the growth resulting from new store openings.
Net sales for the first nine months increased by 57.9% to C$133.3 million compared with C$84.4 million for the corresponding period of fiscal 2006.
