Ecco named official footwear supplier at Pebble Beach
Danish shoemaker Ecco has been named ‘Official Footwear Supplier’ to the 2007 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, to be held on February 5-11, in
It will also showcase its line of men’s and women’s luxury golf shoes at the on-site product pavilion. The collection includes classic, casual and sport models in a variety of new styles and colours. They are made from ultra-soft, high-grade leathers with hydrophobic treatments for extra water-resistance. They feature a direct-injection process to provide durability, comfort and shock-absorption. An internal stabiliser reduces torque and creates a stable swing platform while the double-layer insole provides extra cushion and absorbs heel force to reduce stress on the knees, hip and back. The Internal Air-Circulation System is said to maintain a fresh, dry and cool foot environment and the Dynamic Energy Return System produces a trampoline effect during foot-strike and follow-through to reduce fatigue. Advanced grip systems include Eclipse cleats with the Fast Twist insert system, Stinger cleats with the Q-Lok insert system and moulded traction bars.
Participants will include Ecco staff players Fred Couples and Aaron Baddeley, and other celebrities likely to participate include Justin Timberlake, Bill Murray, Mark Wahlberg, Samuel L. Jackson, Donald Trump, Dennis Quaid, Andy Garcia and Carson Daly.
