TNF launches winter hydration pack

18/12/2006

Outdoor apparel, equipment and footwear company The North Face has launched the Snowday Winter Hydration Pack with a heated water system, suitable for the ski slopes.

The battery-powered HTR heated hydration technology system is said to keep fluids in a drinkable state for up to 20 hours, even in sub-zero temperatures. A sensor monitors the temperature of the hose and signals the system to heat when it approaches freezing–ensuring that liquids never freeze, and also keeping the drinking tube and bladder from freezing.

The outside of the pack is simple to allow the wearer to carry skis or snowboard.  The ‘Fly-Trap’ carrying system compresses the load to ensure it is properly distributed for more balanced, comfortable and efficient carrying.
