Rieter sells its remaining man-made fibre activities
20/12/2006
Switzerland-based Rieter is to sell its last remaining machinery and systems business for manufacturing synthetic continuous filament yarns to Bavaria Maschinenfabrik GmbH. The new owner is a subsidiary of the German company Bavaria Industriekapital AG.
The sale follows Rieter’s strategic review of its man-made continuous filament yarns, and ply-twisting, doubling and texturing business activities, concluding that it was unable to develop these businesses profitably.
Bavaria Maschinenfabrik will continue to employ the unit's personnel and provide uninterrupted customer service and supply.
