Timberland makes new executive appointments
US-based outdoor footwear and apparel brand The Timberland Company has created four consumer category segments and corresponding internal appointments.
Mike Harrison, who joined the company in 2003 as senior vice president of International Business has been appointed president, CasualGear.
Scott Thresher has been named as president, Industrial. He joined the company seven years ago as senior director for Strategic Initiatives. He then ran the Timberland Pro series business for two years and retained that responsibility in his next position as group vice president of
Gene McCarthy has been named president, Authentic Youth. He joined Timberland in May following three years as senior vice president of Global Footwear at Reebok. Prior to Reebok, he worked for 21 years at Nike in a variety of sales, merchandising and key account management roles.
Gary Smith has been appointed president, Outdoor Group. He has been with the company for nearly five years, most recently as senior vice president Supply Chain Management and general manager of Outdoor Performance.
