10/01/2007

Brazilian garment manufacturer Dalutex aims to increase its foreign sales in 2007. Its main export destination is currently with neighbouring countries such as
Argentina, which absorbs between 50% and 60% of exports from São Paulo. Other export destinations include the USA, Canada, Mexico, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and South Africa.

The company’s export manager Alexandre Fischer commented, "Our prices cannot compete with the Chinese, but the finishing and the top quality raw materials are our differences." He added that the company’s clients are able to choose the print and colour when they order and that the company can also supply small quantities.

The company produces 170 tonnes of fabric per month, and employs 120 staff.
