Avery Dennison and Vue Technology in marketing alliance

US-based information management and brand identification products company Avery Dennison Retail Information Services (RIS) and Vue Technology are to join forces in marketing cost-efficient item-level RFID solutions to apparel, footwear and consumer goods retailers.
Under the agreement, Avery Dennison RIS will jointly market its line of item-level RFID tags and labels, label printers and printing software with Vue Technology’s RFID infrastructure, networking and software products.
The alliance will equip retailers with RFID solutions that are designed to provide both front and back room store execution benefits, including reduced out-of-stock situations, increased efficiency, and decreased labour costs.
The combined product offering is aimed to help to make RFID solutions affordable for companies that may have previously found them too expensive. Vue Technology’s patented RF networking technology reduces conventional infrastructure costs by allowing standard RFID readers to network across thousands of antennae.
