US textile and chemical manufacturer, Milliken & Company, has launched VisaEndurance, a high-performance scent control fabric system for hunting apparel. Developed for big game hunters, the complete system includes silver-ion based anti-microbial technology that prevents the growth of odour-causing bacteria on base and mid layer garments, and an odour-adsorbing polymer technology for outer layer garments. The two technologies work independently to control body odour, but when worn together deliver a complete scent control system that is said to be comfortable, lightweight and durable, wicking perspiration from the skin in both wet and dry weather conditions.
According to Miliken, VisaEndurance for outer layers is more breathable, flexible, and less bulky than activated carbon-containing fabrics.
The fabrics are available in loose fitting polyester knits for moderate temperatures, a compression fit for warmer temperatures and a heavyweight compression fit fabric for below 40°F, in both solid and in licensed camouflage prints.
