Kenneth Cole ends licensing agreement for Reaction

Kenneth Cole Productions (KCP) has reached an agreement with Paul Davril, Inc., to end its licence agreement for Kenneth Cole Reaction men's sportswear at the end of 2007. KCP will assume control over the business in January 2008, and is creating a wholesale apparel division to design, source and market the collection. In the meantime, it is considering proposals to enter into a strategic licensing arrangement or similar venture with a new partner.
The move follows KCP’s announcement in November that it had reached an agreement to terminate Paul Davril’s licence for Kenneth Cole New York men and women's sportswear, which takes effect at the end of this year.
The agreement enables KCP to take full control over the development and production of the Reaction merchandise.
