Savane signs agreement with Traptek and Burlington Labs

PEI Licensing, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Perry Ellis International, Inc. and the owner of the men’s casual sportswear brand Savane, has established a licensing deal with Burlington Labs and TrapTek, LLC, the owner of the Cocona trademark and technology, to launch golf trousers incorporating Cocona—a natural carbon-fibre technology derived from coconut shells.
“The future of golfwear is technologically driven,” stated Gary Rubin, vice president and brand manager of Savane.
Cocona fabrics offer patented permanent features in the fibre yarns including wicking, odour resistance, and UV protection.
