Under Armour signs Cat Osterman and Kimmie Meissner

US-based branded apparel, footwear and accessories group Under Armour, Inc. has confirmed the signing of two female athletes, US National Team softball pitcher and 2006 Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Cat Osterman and 2006 World Champion and 2007 National Women’s Figure Skating Champion Kimmie Meissner. Ms Meissner will wear the company’s clothing during non-competition ice-time and training, while Ms Osterman will wear Under Armour its apparel and footwear both on and off the softball field.
Women’s apparel is one of the company’s top growth drivers for 2007 and now represents more than 20% of the company’s apparel business. The line is designed to help athletes stay cool and dry during exercise.
