Q2 revenue increase at Bernard Chaus

US ladies’ workwear and casual sportswear designer Bernard Chaus, Inc. has reported improved financial results for the second quarter and first six months of fiscal 2007.

For the second quarter ended December 31, revenues increased by approximately 71.2% to $39.4 million from $23 million in the second quarter last year. The company reported second quarter net income of $1.3 million compared with a net loss of $4.9 million in the prior year period.

For the six-month period, revenues grew by approximately 29.9% to $78.9 million, up from $60.7 million in the 2005 period. Net income for the first half of fiscal 2007 was $2.5 million compared with a net loss of $4.8 million in the year-ago period.
