Lawson-Hemphill launches Dynamic Modulus Tester PPM-5R

US supplier of solutions for textile quality assurance, Lawson-Hemphill, has launched the new ‘Dynamic Modulus Tester PPM-5R’ system that measures the velocity of the sonic pulses in various materials. The accurate measurement of sound velocity between the transducers results in a correct and repeatable dynamic modulus of elasticity.

The tester features a digital display of the sonic velocity; a user-friendly software programme that calculates the dynamic modulus automatically; uniform quality level; quick information feedback; and the ability to detect changes in polymer formula.                                                              

Applications include fibres, tapes, nonwovens, yarns, polyester, nylon, spandex, elastomeric, monofilament, carbon fibre and glass fibre.
