Royal Air Force launches clothing collection

09/02/2007

March 2007 will see the launch in the UK of an official Royal Air Force (RAF) clothing collection for both men and women. The line is supported by England rugby veterans and pilots Rory and Tony Underwood, and the world's ‘fastest man on land’, Wing Commander Andy Green. A percentage of the money raised by the licensing of the clothes will support The Royal Air Force Museum, helping to preserve the history and heritage of the RAF.

The 40-piece men's range and the 10-piece ladies' range will feature the RAF trademark roundel or other RAF insignia and will include polo shirts, jackets and jeans.

RAF Group Captain Andy Turner said, "Our goal is to raise awareness of the Royal Air Force as it is important that the public understands what we do on their behalf. The added benefit is that the proceeds of this merchandising initiative will go to the RAF Museum."
