US chemical company DuPont has organised a series of seminars on safety clothing that protects against occupational risks such as intense heat and flame; harmful chemicals, dusts and fibres; biological agents; cut, abrasion and general grease and dirt. The company’s Personal Protection team will offer advice on different types of safety clothing and guidance on how to wear it correctly in order to minimise risk.
The UK programme will include industry events, exhibitions, seminars and a live demonstration using the DuPont Thermoman. The company has also tailored a series of seminars specifically for Fire & Rescue Services, the Home Office Scientific Development Branch and utility companies.
As well as providing safety advice, the company will also exhibit its protective clothing solutions including Tyvek, Tychem, Nomex, Kevlar and Proshield and its Sontara clean wipes.
A similar programme of events is scheduled across Europe, in Switzerland, France, Germany, Austria and Italy.
