BASF’s Elastogran to acquire PCC

19/02/2007

BASF Group’s subsidiary Elastogran plans to purchase Dutch polyurethane system house Polymer Chemical Company BV (PCC). An agreement finalising the acquisition was signed by both parties on February 15 and will be completed, for an undisclosed sum, subject to the permission of the Monopoly and Merger Commission.

Founded in 1976, PCC has operated as an independent system house mainly for polyurethane rigid foam systems and spray coatings. The company employs approximately 30 staff and has a 10,000 m2 plant in Boxtel, near Tilburg. Following the conclusion of the planned acquisition PCC will be integrated into the Elastogran Group as a subsidiary under the name Elastogran BeNeLux BV.

Elastogran is a member of the BASF Group producing polyurethane systems and special elastomers. Headquartered in Lemförde, Germany, the company has nine affiliates with ten sites in France, Great Britain, Italy, Russia, Sweden, Spain, South Africa, Turkey and Hungary.
