Acquisitions boost revenues at Low & Bonar
UK-based specialist materials group Low & Bonar PLC has posted increased revenues for the full year, ended November 30.
Revenue increased by 28% to £224.5 million compared with £175.4 million in 2005 and operating profit rose 27.8% to £17 million from £13.3 million in the previous year.
The acquisition of Colbond and Geo-Tipptex has doubled the size of the company’s Technical Textiles Division and strengthened its strategic position. This division reported a 23% increase in operating profit to reach £9.1 million compared with £7.4 million in 2005, in spite of a £5 million increase in raw material and energy prices.
