US designer and manufacturer of footwear for men, women and children, Crocs, Inc. has entered into a number of licensing agreements or letters of intent with NASCAR racing teams, including Dale Earnhardt, Inc., Hendrick Motorsports, Joe Gibbs Racing, and Richard Childress Racing for the use of team marks, as well as driver names, signatures and numbers on Crocs footwear and Jibbitz products. The new line, designed for NASCAR, was launched at the Daytona 500 race last week and will be sold at selected race venues and US retail locations throughout the NASCAR season.

Commenting on the agreements president and CEO of Crocs, Ron Snyder, said, “Stock car racing is America’s fastest growing spectator sport and we are extremely excited to be associated with many of the top teams and drivers. We look forward to bringing this new line of Crocs products to their large and growing fan base.”

All Crocs brand shoes feature Crocs’ proprietary closed-cell resin, Croslite, which produces soft, comfortable, lightweight, superior-gripping, non-marking and odour-resistant shoes. In 2006, the company acquired Jibbitz LLC, an accessory brand which produces snap-on products specifically suited for Crocs shoes.
