Berghaus boots hit the catwalk at London Fashion Week

Highlighting the increasing trend for functional fashion, UK-based Berghaus’ Moreno GTX Boots featured on the catwalk at the recent London Fashion Week. The boots were used as part of designer label bërubë’s presentation of its autumn/winter 2007 collection.

The casual Moreno boots, more usually worn by outdoor enthusiasts, were incorporated into the show to set off bërubë’s new range of clothing and accessories with draping designs, opulent, formal fabrics and high-shine detailing.

Commenting on the decision to include Berghaus boots into the presentation fashion stylist, Mary Fellowes, said, “I am really into the outdoors myself and when I was approached to do the styling for the bërubë show I took inspiration from a recent trip to Scotland where I literally lived in my Berghaus boots.”

She added, “All of my colleagues in the fashion press have gone mad for the boots as it really has not been seen on the catwalk before—and that is fashion at its best when there is genuinely some new ideas and innovation.”
