Lanxess staff rewarded for improvement ideas
Over the past year, German chemicals group Lanxess has paid out approximately €900,000 in bonuses to reward employees for their improvement suggestions. In total, 2,256 suggestions were submitted by the workforce to the company’s ‘ideas office’, 1,367 of which were rewarded with a bonus. The submissions largely concentrated on improving procedures and processes, increasing occupational safety and promoting environmental protection.
As a result of employees’ suggestions, the company was able to
save around €3.3 million in 2006.
