Focus on natural fibres at Yarn Expo Spring

27/02/2007

There will be a strong focus on natural fibres at this year’s Yarn Expo Spring, which will be held concurrently with Intertextile Beijing in Beijing on March 22-24. Fibres and yarns such as cotton, wool, silk and linen/ramie will be highlighted at the show as well as regenerated and synthetic fibres, specialty products, elastic, fancy and blended yarns.

As China's per capita fibre consumption almost doubled between 2000 and 2005, from 7.5 kg to 14 kg and yarn imports grew 6% in 2006 compared, the show’s organisers are expecting large numbers of visitors to the show, which attracted almost 5,000 attendees in 2006.
