Deckers Outdoor posts record results

Deckers Outdoor Corporation has posted record results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31.

For the fourth quarter, net sales increased 36.7% to $124.4 million from $91 million for the comparable period in the prior year, well surpassing the company’s forecast of $110 million.

For the full year, net sales increased 15% to $304.4 million compared with $264.8 million in 2005 again beating the forecasts of $290 million by a large margin.

The company’s Teva Brand posted net sales of $13 million for the fourth quarter, an increase of 15.5% compared with the $11.3 million reported for the same period in 2005, whilst UGG Brand net sales increased 40.1% to $109.9 million versus $78.5 million. Simple Brand net sales increased 18.8% to $1.5 million for the fourth quarter compared with $1.2 million for the same period in the prior year.
