New Schoeller fabrics received well in Europe
Swiss functional fabrics and technology developer Schoeller Textil AG’s fabrics have been well received at the recent trade shows in Paris and Milan, which included fabric mixes with linen or cotton for spring/summer 2008 and wool for autumn/winter 2008/09 combined with the company’s c_change and NanoSphere technology and its wind-repelling micro-coating.
According to the company, fabric developments with a masculine touch in a carbon look or as a twill in gold, silver, metallic and anthracite attracted buyers. Initially developed for the motorcycle sector, these fabrics have also made proved successful for trench coats. Demand for ‘sheen and shine’ and the company’s various aluminium looks were also well received. Further successes included light linen blends and polyester fabrics with a discreet hint of gold.
