The American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) has appointed Peter Gabbe, chief operating officer, Carole Hochman Design Group, as the association’s new chairman, replacing chief operating officer, Jones Apparel Group, Wes Card.

Other appointments included Carol Hochman, president and CEO, Danskin, Inc., as vice chairman; Killick Datta, chairman and CEO, Global Brand Marketing as treasurer and George Derhofer, senior VP, Global Operations, Imagewear & Outlets, VF Corporation as secretary.

Other new board members include Rick Darling, president, Li & Fung USA, Joel Feldman, president, Operations, Byer California, John Higdon, president and CEO, Capital Mercury Apparel, Ltd., and Michael Mansh, president, Pennsylvania Apparel LLC.
