Hibbett reports record earnings

US sporting goods retailer Hibbett Sports, Inc. has reported record financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year ended February 3.
Net sales for the fourth quarter increased 25.1% to $151.2 million compared with $120.8 million for the comparable period in 2006, whilst net income improved 27.4% to $12.6 million from $9.9 million.
Net sales for the 53-week fiscal year increased 16.3% to $512.1 million compared with $440.3 million a year earlier, whilst net income rose 13.2% to $38.1 million from $33.6 million.
