Damartex to invest in Tunisia

16/03/2007

France-based textile company The Damartex group plans to transfer its textile production to a new manufacturing unit in Tunisia, the startup of which will begin in 2008.

Almost 70% of the group’s clothing production is already carried out in Tunisia by local subcontractors and the aim of the move is to improve productivity by centralising operations.

The impact on the company’s short-term results should be limited and the group intends to support the rehabilitation of its employees.
