Textiles and clothing top Indonesia's export list
Dublin-based research company Research and Markets has published a new report on
Over the last three decades, the Indonesian garment industry has become a major contributor to the country's total industrial revenue and its Ministry of Industry has categorised textiles and clothing as a ‘strategic industrial sector’. In 2005, the sector was the country's biggest net exporter with a surplus of around $7 billion.
The report focuses on the economy, development of the industry, the man-made fibre industry, foreign trade, prominent companies, SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) analysis and 2010 targets and prospects for the industry.
