SkinScan develops ‘Invisible’ clothes

02/04/2007

US textile company SkinScan has developed the technology to produce almost invisible clothing, and is now in discussions with various members of the fashion industry in order to market it.

The technology involves a patented process invented by Jerold Kritchman & Company which captures and transfers an individual’s skin tone onto fabric. Using data storage on the Internet, a person’s ‘colour profile’ can be retrieved from almost anywhere in the world and used to design and manufacture different products, each customised to the individual.
