Huntsman Textile Effects unveils new trade names

03/04/2007

Nine months after acquiring the Textile Effects business from Switzerland’s Ciba Specialty Chemicals, US chemicals company Huntsman has launched new trade names and product ranges.

Part of the acquisition deal required Huntsman to change trade names associated with the former company and the new owner has used this opportunity to streamline the list, reducing the number of names and simplifying identification.

As of July 1, a number of products will be marketed under new brands including the company’s flagship product Cibacron, which will now be marketed under the Novacron trade name. Both old and new names will co-exist during a transition period from April 2 to June 30, to allow for adjustment.
