Dutch specialty chemical company Royal Ten Cate has completed its acquisition of the artificial grass activities of Dubai-based Mattex Leisure Industries. The necessary licences have been issued by the Dubai government and the acquisition cost amounted to $178 million.

The Mattex artificial grass activities will be taken over by a new company: TenCate Thiolon Middle East LLC, which will be wholly integrated into the TenCate Grass Group. The company expects the acquisition to have a significantly positive effect on sales.
