Rohm and Haas raises specialty monomer prices
US-based specialty chemical company Rohm and Haas has announced that due to the continued rising costs of key raw materials, it is increasing off-list prices for Acrylate and Rocryl specialty monomers, effective May 1, as contract terms allow.
The price of Butyl Acrylate (BA), Ethyl Acrylate (EA), Glacial Acrylic Acid (GAA), and 2-Ethyl Hexyl Acrylate (2-EHA) will all be increased $0.04 per pond in the USA and €30 per metric tonne in Europe, whilst prices for Rocryl 400 Hydroxyethyl Methacrylate (HEMA), Rocryl 410 Hydroxypropyl Methacrylate (HPMA), Rocryl 420 Hydroxyethyl Acrylate (HEA), Rocryl 430 Hydroxypropyl Acrylate (HPA) will be raised by $0.04 per pound in the USA and €90 per metric tonne in Europe.
