Outlast keeps you cool... and your drink too
11/04/2007
It appears that temperature regulation has moved into a new sphere... drinking. Having reported on Dryarn’s move into the beverage cooling market last week, it appears that other textile technology developers are also seeing the potential in hitting the bottle. Another name usually associated with the sportswear market, Outlast Europe, has now introduced a new temperature-buffering label, the Cold Wrap Label, which is said to deflect heat from your hand to keep beverages colder for longer.
The label is composed of Outlast material and a lamination of clear polyester to metallised polyester, creating a barrier between the container and your warm hand. It can be applied to a variety of materials including, but not limited to, paper, cardboard, glass and metal.
