BASF to rebrand 150 polyamide types in Europe

13/04/2007

Between April 1 and December 31, German chemicals company BASF will restructure its polyamide product line in Europe
, which will include the rebranding of approximately 150 polyamide types in the Ultramid, Miramid and Capron brands and adapting their distribution channels.

Most of the Capron grades will now be incorporated into the Miramid or Ultramid product lines, resulting in the termination of all existing contracts with Capron distributors. After a transition period of about six months, the corresponding Capron types will be purchased directly from BASF.

All of BASF’s polyamide grades will continue to be available and the re-branding will only change the names and distribution channels of the products involved, while their properties and specifications will remain the same.
