March sales rise 16% at Gap

US-based clothing and accessories retailer Gap Inc. has reported net sales of $1.56 billion for the five-week period ended April 7, a 16% increase compared with $1.35 billion for the five-week period ended
Year-to-date net sales of $2.47 billion increased 11% compared with sales of $2.21 billion for the corresponding period in 2006.
