Hohenstein’s Indian office celebrates a successful first year

The contact office of the German textile research and service centre Hohenstein Institutes in Mumbai, India, has reported an extremely positive performance in its first year of business. Hohenstein India Pvt. Ltd., which was founded at the beginning of April 2006 with the support of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, currently employs four staff under the leadership of the institute’s country manager, Jacob Kutty.

As an official representative office of the International Oeko-Tex Association, the office is primarily involved with product certification according to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 for textiles tested for harmful substances at all stages of the production chain, as well as numerous other independent quality tests.

Clients include Indian textile and clothing manufacturers as well as European companies who have production facilities and suppliers in India.
