US manufacturer of polyester products Wellman, Inc. will increase the price of all of its Fortrel polyester staple fibre products by $0.04/lb (pound), effective June 1.

According to the company’s vice president Sales, Steve Ates, the price increase is necessary “due to continued increases in the cost of our petrochemical-based raw materials and their feedstocks.”
