Eastern Europe boosts Lotto turnover

Italian sports footwear, clothing and accessories firm Lotto Sport Italia S.p.A. has reported turnover of €277 million ($375.9 million) for 2006, an 8% increase year-on-year.

Europe accounted for 43% of the company’s sales followed by the Americas (11%), Asia Pacific (15%), and Africa (6%). All regions posted positive growth with Eastern Europe reporting particularly strong sales (Romania +35%, Croatia +21%, Ukraine +16%, Slovenia +30%).

Footwear accounted for 43% of overall sales, clothing for 51% and accessories for 6%. Football, five-a-side football, tennis and running constituted 55% of sales (5% growth) with leisure accounting for the remaining 45% (11% growth).
