Tecnofilati, a subsidiary of Italian textile company Gruppo Tessile Abati, is to introduce its new yarn, Resistex Ego, at Techtextil, which will take place in Frankfurt from June 12-14.

The yarn ensures that AISI 316L stainless steel threads are 99.9% covered with textile fibres. The use of cotton and polyamide as covering components offers durability and resistance to scrub. The yarn can be dyed and finished easily and offers high wash resistance. It is also said to make fabrics softer and provides antistatic protection and shielding from electromagnetic fields.
