Work and outdoor sectors lift sales at Rocky Brands

10/05/2007

US footwear and apparel manufacturer Rocky Brands, Inc. has posted improved financial results for its first quarter ended March 31.

Net sales increased 7.2% to $61.7 million versus $57.5 million in the first quarter of 2006, although net income slipped to $0.8 million from $0.9 million. The sales increase was said to have been driven by gains in the work and outdoor segments, offset by a decrease in the western business.

The company continues to expect 2007 revenues to increase by approximately 5% compared with 2006 levels.
