Automated high-speed digitising system from Gerber

10/05/2007

Connecticut-based integrated software and hardware automation systems company Gerber Technology has launched AccuScan, an automated, high-speed pattern digitising system that can replace manual pattern digitising. The new scanning technology can digitise multiple patterns simultaneously and outputs AccuMark pattern pieces. It is said to be 20-50% faster than manual digitising, depending on the complexity of the pieces being digitised.

It scans pattern board, oak-tag or paper plots at accuracies within 1.5 mm offering a higher level of accuracy and automatically detects notches, grain lines, internal lines, drill holes and the part perimeter.

The system can be added to an existing AccuMark workstation or installed on a standalone PC.
