US-based identification and tracking systems for the apparel and retail markets Paxar Corporation has launched its ChromaHD heat transfer solution at Material World, which is currently taking place in Miami.

Designed to provide high-definition, multi-colour heat transfers for tag-free labelling and garment adornment,the new solution offers multi-colour design options such as photographic images, character designs and alternative colour schemes, size data, care content information, colour by size or product code information which can also be added to multi-colour designs; overt and covert security features that can be incorporated into the transfer design to help combat product counterfeiting and diversion; and resistance to washing and stretch.

Applications include intimate apparel, sportswear and children's wear. The recyclable polyester film-based product is also environmentally-friendly. Transfers are available in a cut-single format and can be applied to standard fabric types including cotton, cotton blends, polyester and polyester blends. The application process—combining heat, pressure and time—takes between two to eight seconds.
