Dow Polyurethanes, a business group of The Dow Chemical Company, has completed the acquisition of British Vita’s polyurethane systems business, Hyperlast Limited. The Hyperlast acquisition includes elastomer systems enterprises in the United Kingdom and North America as well as Autothane Limited, a manufacturer of advanced automotive suspension components.

The acquisition supports Dow’s strategy to drive growth in its Performance portfolio in order to generate more consistent earnings. 

With 23 facilities located across Europe, Asia, Middle East and Africa, North and Latin America Dow Polyurethane (PU) Systems develops high performance, differentiated polyurethane system solutions for customers in a broad range of industries used in the production of polyurethane systems, coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers, as well as rigid, flexible and integral skin foams.
