Based on nanotechnology, the finish is said to offer both water and stain protection without compromising comfort, breathability or elasticity and clothing, shoes, gloves and accessory manufacturers such as Arc’teryx, Mammut Sports Group and Reusch already use the technology in their products.
The company will also introduce a new licence partner network for 3XDRY at the German show. A network of more than 40 licensed treatment partners on five continents has made the technology accessible for all types of textile. Brand partners include adidas, Helly Hansen, Hugo Boss, Pierre Cardin and Puma.
3XDRY adds water and stain repellency to the exterior of textiles and water absorbency on the inside. Clothes finished with the technology are said to keep the body dry, minimise perspiration marks and stimulate a cooling effect. Garments using it dry six to eight times faster than apparel made without the treatment.
