The recent Jinjiang shoe expo, held in Jinjiang city, Fujiang, China, has been hailed a huge success. Attracting in excess of 5,000 visitors, according to the show’s organisers orders worth a staggering yuan 5.2 billion ($675.3 million) of orders were signed during the event. 

Jinjiang is said to be the largest sports shoe manufacturing centre in the world, accounting for 40% of global production.
